Just clutching at straws here. Stranger things have happened. It wouldn't be a stretch to... Say.... Have some units equipped with non standard issue quad nods. Recce troops or the like. I know, I know, highly unlikely. But I'm desparate.

This is interesting. Came across this on tootar. These guys are relatives of active servicemen.

Ah, then it must've slipped my cheel-ki-nazar. I've heard of this system used in compound security and stuff but never in handheld form before. How accurate are these? Like, upto what distance and what about accuracy? Do loud noises caused by other stuff cause malfunction or render it unusable...

Beautiful. Utterly beautiful. MoD should take note.

This is a VERY good approach because QAT members in interviews of the past have always said their biggest obstacle has been pinpointing the direction fire is coming from. If higher command is actually listening to the ground pounders and tackling force-specific gear deficiencies, that too in...

IB? This is the first time I'm hearing of this. Why? Also, any pictures? (Blur them if you must)

The helmet on the last guy is used by Marcos and SG. And Marcos doesn't use ACOG on Tavors. So, it's either the first time or this is an actual SG member. We're not privy to all details so speculating why he was there is nigh pointless. Could be a specialised interrogator/negotiator/any number...

Btw, can you recommend some good books on infantry drills, sir? I've read US and some Russian manuals and understand their methods pretty well so anything varied would do. Also, why is it called an Australian peel? This is the first time I've seen this term being used to describe this maneuver.

Quote one single post where there was unreasonable criticism in the entire thread, please. Will be waiting. Exactly what I was thinking. The movement looks very "comfortable". Also, what was shown here was either very basic or vague stuff.

Now, that's too far. PUBG and stuff are good for a very rudimentary idea of what combat is like (range, teamwork, drawbacks of types of rifles) but it's not 1X scope, it's a M4comp aimpoint. It's not 2x scope, it's M4Comp aimpoint with magnifier. It's not 4x scope, it's an ACOG. Also, I think...

There are "layers" of security and "close protection" is named because of it's role. People plan for contingencies, and death of a VIP is a morale booster for the terrorists. State Police's capability, training and alertness varies and no VIP will place their lives in their hands. Let's not...

The ones with black uniform are definitely Golden Division and the odd one with the multicam may be golden division or another unit (don't know how it works over there). Note the Iraqi flag on his chest. Here's a documentary on these guys. I will have to say, very very professional (albeit very...

Agree on some points, disagree on others. We've had Pir Panjal scouts, Ikhwans, Salwa Judum etc used to enforce internal state stability. You can also think of SFF's mandate as being similar to Hezbollah but yes, a lot of stuff needs to be rectified to allow a smoother transition into this era...

The Naxals take inspiration from Che and Fidel's method of warfare focused on generosity of the people rather than a strong state backing. Fidel overthrowing Batista is their image of a perfect operation. They're "revolutionaries" rather than "militants" in their head. The difference between...

Oh, now, this is right up my alley. I've read a few books on Hezbollah's recent operations and capabilities. These guys are no joke. I can't judge Haqqani network beyond what I've heard about them but Hezbollah's performance during the Israel Lebanon war and now, having smuggled literally...
