Ideally after developing Shakti engine via JV , IMRH engine should have gone fully indigenous route, if not, it only means that no reasonable Tech Transfer had happened in that JV, which again means, no reasonable tech transfer will happen for 110KN engine in a JV, so after 2050 we will again...

People, it's not basic upgrade .....it's a complete redesign of the entire aircraft from top to bottom, it's a completely new aircraft

@AnantS work on KF-21 actually started in 2002, so comparatively AMCA is not that much delayed,also AMCA will have more Indigenous content that both the KF-21 & TF-X

CDR completed, waiting for CCS approval,metal cutting already started

Actual work started only in 2015, so yes it's not that much delayed

It is naive to think that flight testing will complete in just 3 years....it won't, it will take atleast 5 years to complete it .....and IAF as we all know will sign the deal only after completion of flight testing....and 1st production aircraft will roll out only 3 years after signing the...

Thats a depressing thing .....first flight only in 2030....then we expect the flight testing to take atleast 5, even though they are saying it will be just 3 years....so flight testing will complete by 2035 ....that means 1st sqn will enter service only by 2038 future of AMCA-Mk2 is uncertain...
