Will he be promoted to Full General or will he serve as Lt.Gen??

I knew it will most probably be him, he served as Chief of Integrated Defence Staff. He is rumoured to be next CDS even before General Bipin Rawat's unfortunate accident

If they bring a retired 3 star officer as CDS, then how can he be above the service chiefs who are 4 stars? will they promote retired 3star to 4 star?
