New Russian single engine fighter jet

"airforce can't perform deep strikes efficiently with single engine fighters. it wants a stealth twin engine one for deep strikes." ==> not quite. israel has used F16s many times against reasonably dense a/d network. the osirak strike is a perfect example. "tejas Mk1 and Mk1A more than enough...

New Russian single engine fighter jet

LCA cockpit (Mk1 and Mk1A): AMCA cockpit simulator at AI-2021: It does appear here that the same design and presentation language has been carried over from the LCA, albeit with a different flavour. This could be an intermediate step as well at this point. But the idea here is that you will...

New Russian single engine fighter jet

The photos of the display resembles whats publicly available about the Su-35 cockpit. Large artificial horizon, digital gauges (resembling the analog ones) indicating airspeed, hydraulic fuel pressure, etc and a second partition with a large radar picture. In 2018 I had the privilege to sit in...

New Russian single engine fighter jet

Thats not the point. The MMI (Man machine interface) is still Su-35 ish as far as information layout is concerned. This was not the case on the MWF display. But if it can be customized then great. I still wonder why they didnt opt for a sidestick. Would have also allowed for a large pedestal...

New Russian single engine fighter jet

Display pattern is still old style. Analogue gauges in digital form similar to Su-35. The right side smaller MFD is straight out of a Su-35. I'll stick my neck out and say MWF cockpit will be better

New Russian single engine fighter jet

Once you have air superiority over an adversary, 5th gen platforms aren't needed to fight anymore. For Pakistan, a section of Rafales, MWFs, MKIs, M2000s, and MRSAM+S400s are enough to flatten the PAF and prevent it from taking off. Even without a 5th Gen aircraft we are good with Pakistan...

New Russian single engine fighter jet

I think the Checkmate will have multiple versions in terms of configuration and specs. The 25-20 mn USD price is probably for the absolute barebones version that consists of the airframe, basic sensor package (possibly Zhuk-AE derived radar), and minimum weapons suite (a short range and medium...

New Russian single engine fighter jet

If this is a life sized model of the aircraft then its quite small in size. That will most likely affect its payload, especially in the internal bay. But since it packs an Item 30 engine it will have a scary T/W ratio. I also think that this aircraft will probably be handicapped in range.
