We have 3 Smerch Regiments and each Strike Corps has been given one regiment. We had 2 regiments of Pinakas, so one strike Corps didnt have Pinaka. We had 2 more Pinaka regiments on order, so were they delivered? Also that leaves 17 Montain Strike corps without Pinakas or Smerch as of now.

Does anyone know the final count of Smerch and Pinaka Regiments functioning in army as of now? We gave a repeat order for Smerch it seems a few years ago

Sharp eyes you have :) Indeed it looks more like smerch. I tried doing it by comparing lengths. Pinaka is 8x8 while Smerch is 10x10. Only if we get a Smerch and Pinaka side by side in sat pics. Probably there was one at Deolali camp.

Semi Knocked down kits.. Except for a few items from Indian suppliers , most are directly from SoKo . Pretty reasonable for such a low order volume of just 100 SPGs . Indian items will usually include communications , displays, computers. etc
