Look , you cannot put the blame on Ashoka for what happened after him .. it is like blaming the Tang for the Mongol invasions of China. Ancient times were just like this : invaders after invaders came from the steppes of Russia, Central Asia, or the deserts of Arabia, or even the ices of Norway...

I like Ashoka .. as a foreigner we hear too little of India' s long history. Ashoka is famous for his efforts to end the reign of violence on Earth , protect living animals and trees. He is part of mankind heritage.
