INS Vagir, the fifth Scorpene class (Kalvari-class) submarine built by Mazagon Dock Limited has been delivered to the Indian Navy. After this, the next submarine to be delivered is INS Vagsheer which is the last of the 6 Kalvari-class submarines to be delivered to the Indian Navy...

Apologies if I may have shared some wrong info on the topic, lately I have not been following some of the updates concerning the Indian Armed forces so I am not very sure about the status of most of the projects. What I shared with you was from a article on Google which I found pertaining to...

As far as I know, Project 18 class destroyers are still on drawing board as of now, Indian Navy did showcase P-18 class ships in a promotional video of theirs though.

I still don't believe it from my side, unless and until I see a Confirmation From the Indian Navy etc, I will not trust this news. I don't want this to turn out to be fake news like how at one time, Pakistanis were claiming that Malaysia had selected JF-17 Thunder.

Finally! FA-18 has been selected. I always knew it, FA-18 was the one which was going to get selected by the Indian Navy. FA-18 is best for the Indian Navy and Rafale is best for the IAF. I hope that we Procure a few Growler Variants of the F/A-18 SH as well. Would prove to be a great addition...

Indian Navy doesn't need to have as many missiles in it's ships as it's Chinese counterparts. Indian Navy's sole purpose against PLAN is to protect IOR from PLAN. In a war, there are 2 main forces, one is defensive and the other is offensive and it has been proven several times in the past...

In terms of Weopons, we need to make Rustom-2 like Turkish Bayraktar TB-2, see through Wikipedia page on TB-2 in the Specifications sections where it is listed what type of Weopons TB-2 can carry. Thank you.

As of now, SAAW is planned to be used mainly in platforms like SU-30 MKI, Tejas MK-1, Jaguar, Hawk-i. But yes, we can use SAAW to Destroy Enemy bunkers. Rustom-2 can definitely carry it, how many it will be able to carry, I don't know but atleast 2+ will be ok from my side. We could use Rustom-2...

We only the following things about NASM in it's current configuration : It can carry a Warhead of 100 kg, overall missile has a weight of 380 kg and it has a range of 55 kms. This is all the Specifications of NASM available in mainstream media following the recent test. So I don't from where...

Yes we can definitely use SAAW in such a way but if we are going to use SAAW with Rustom-2 than we will have to hit targets close to the border. Like I said as well, SAAW will be used primarily by fighters like Jaguar/SU-30 MKI.

What will you use SAAW on Rustom-2 for? SAAW is short for "Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon" so as the name suggests, it will be used to target and Destroy enemy Airfields and Runways but why would you send a drone like Rustom-2 with SAAW? Ideally we should send planes like SU-30 MKI, Jaguars etc.

LCH? I would say that adding NASM on LCH will definitely work but it won't be able to carry them in enough numbers, you should have atleast 2 such missiles with LCH. In order to exploit maximum range of NASM, we will have to drop it at a higher altitude. This is where the problem Starts, you...

NASM is an Indian missile and Apache is an American platform so it can't be Integrated in Indian Apache unless uncle Sam allows us which they probably will never do. Better to rather Integrate these missiles Like ALH Dhruv. (Dhruv might be able to carry atleast 2 of them)

NASM-SR can definitely be made lighter, we are doing the same thing with Brahmos NG, it's basically Baseline Brahmos which has been made lighter in terms of weight AFAIK. Or we can do what you have Said, Upgrade the engines of Rustom-2 so that it will be able to carry more weight. But in my...

If Rustom-2 cannot carry this missile in it's current configuration, than we will have to make a smaller version of it which has a smaller warhead and overall weight. Same is being done with Brahmos, a variant called brahmos NG is being developed and it will have less weight as compared to the...

I will say it's a Shtil-1 missile. It cannot be Klub/Kalibr Because these missiles have a more round tip shape to their front cone section. They are not pointed like the missile in this Photo.
