Well eventhough off-topic. A GAU 8 avenger is mounted only on the Fairchild A 10 Thunderbolt II. CHeck the size and weight of the canon and think how you can fit something so massive in a fighter aircraft.

Contemporary designs does not include the Ka-52, AH 64 nor the Mi 28N....the ones to be compared with LCH would be the EC Tiger, The AW-129 Mangusta. These are the light class attack helicopters. AW 129 Mangusta EC Tiger

Yep saw this in another forum too. But I still want to know what avionics this beast will carry. And i think the cockpit must be modified a little more. Looks too cramped.

The landing gear components give an additional weight to the LCH airframe which is already 500 kgs overweight. The same is seen in Mangusta and the Rooivak helicopters.

And you are trying to imply?...Mi 35 dosent have an equivalent in this world. Just give me one comparison between the Mi 35 other than the Mi 24 Hind. You can search the internet your whole life and you cant find one.

MI 35 is a flying tank...dont compare it with our LCH...there is no equivalent for the Mi 35 all around the world.

Well the Attack helicopter forms a major force multiplier and a Close air support weapon. The origins of these kind of machines and the concept was actually developed by the Germans. Due to the complexity of the rotary wing aircraft it was difficult for them to design and produce it. The attack...

Yes I accept that sir, but it is far better than flying Mi 17s straped on with missiles and pods. The LCH is the only attack chopper that can negotiate the altitudes of the Himalayas. And I also support the view that we can first induct it and then take care of the slimming down of the aircraft.

I think the shakti engine has enough thrust as it has displayed it in Dhruv Siachen operations. This might have compelled IAF to accept the weight issues.

HAL Prachand - Light Combat Helicopter (LCH)

Being a derivative of the Dhruv it is moist probably to use the shakti engine....

The LCH resembles the Mangusta in many aspects. The AW 129 and The LCH look the same to me.
