Fundamental error. HUD Cam doesn't get any glimpse of a locked-on bogey/ target engaged in BVR. Because BVR engagement occurs at a greater distance beyond the capability of HUD CAM's lens. Which is meant to record videos at a distance at around a KM at best. Do you even know that SD10 is...

I believe Tejas MK-2 will achieve only IOC by 2025 considering it starts flying before the end of 2020 which is a very optimistic timeline. By my estimates, MK-2 will fly anytime around 2021-22 and achieve IOC by 2027(this is when induction will begin) and FOC by 2029.

If this deal is being signed with specific aim of developing ecosystem further along with speeding up development of MK-2 versions of both Tejas and NLCA then it's ok. But if it is not the case; just another many, a purchase amidst cry for immediate requirements then what you are saying will...

And the point is? Like to add and repeat. Tejas is close to Mirage 2000H in range vs payload while beats it in rest of aspects of fighter jet technologies. When MK-2 comes even range vs payload will switch sides to Tejas camp. Derogatory words won't change what Tejas pilots and ex Mirage 2000H...

How so? For start J-20 has internal weapon bays Rafale don't. By 2030 Rafale will be 30 plus year old airframe and J-20 will be just 10. And by then J-20 will also have mature electronics. So no, in 2030 Rafale won't be able to beat J-20. This is the whole point.

Yet the most logical option that Navy shall pursue is NAVAL AMCA. It's a fifth generation fighter which can be tailor build for Naval air arm. Today navy along with ADA and HAL has developed enough expertise to take on development of N-AMCA on their own. Today N LCA is at some stage to say...

This competition is limited to just F-16 IN and Gripen E. Both of jets were extensively evaluated during last M-MRCA competition. So little evaluation will be required this time. Because those serious and (allegedly) crazy people are aware of developments in Indo-US relations. These people also know the significance of Indo-US nuclear deal. And why US strongly backed us at MTCR is something these crazy people also know? Does it mean we are buying Avenger? I must be...
