I think an average of Mach 1 defeats the purpose of using a ramjet propulsion. Note that ramjet are known to be poor performer in sub sonic and trans sonic speed.

Kunal I am not an expert but new generation missiles like Meteor and R-77 seems to use a ram air induction method to assist in combustion, I am not sure if Akash Missile will leave back visible smoke during its flight course, but if not maybe it can supplement the Astra mk.I or just replace it...
