Useful for insertions if developed further? Could be great for terrain masking/nap of earth flying? Probably.

That this man is certified to be able to swim underwater to an enemy warship underway and by sheer force of muscle stop the propeller of the ship (or submarine). Its a very elite course taught in Israel. They are taught to hug the propeller and make the legs into a Y shape to increase drag and...

From this photo, objective lens part looks like GPNVG due to the step that isn't there on DRDO or TONBO. But the eyepiece part has a shape similar to the Tonbo one.

Maybe, but even that doesn't have a taper. But then again the taper might just be due to the image distortion.

Hard to tell. To me it looks like there is a taper on the tube. This tonbo quad doesn't have any tapers.

So FWS-I doesn't have utility for Para SF in certain situations? Once you can get used to it, can't it aid in quick acquisition of targets without exposing yourself? Should be equally important in CT ops in valley and urban terrain ops as well.

X-posting. ^Remember this? I found something interesting:- Read that? It says NSG has already been supplied with the indigenous FWS-I and ENVG-B that Tonbo developed (although these have low-lux, not Image Intensifier tech). Look at the capability FWS-I provides:- . . . . Also note that...

No no. I am not talking about them. I meant Combat Controller Teams in US SOCOM. CCTs have the additional capability of being a mini-forward air traffic control, directing air traffic in the tactical battle area. This requires special training and equipment. Forward Air Controllers, on the other...

In an Army, it shouldn't be their own choice (things need to be uniform, not ad-hoc), especially if that choice is a function of the money the soldier/officer has. One thing I've noticed about our Army is that Infantry and Armoured Officers are usually closer to their men, they try to actively...

If Officers equip themselves with gear better than the men, in my opinion it would set a bad example. Not something a leader does.

I am only going to say one thing: Whatever you do, don't join the Forces until you are able to overcome this barrier. Until you can make the conscious decision to give up the fat paychecks and civil life on your own, you are bound to get weeded out in the probation for Special Forces after...

5-6 brigades is a huge ask. For starters, we need to create 3 Para brigades. 50th Para Brigade is already there. We can re-raise 77th Para Brigade and a third new para brigade. These three brigades along with President's Bodyguard and a para artillery brigade can be used to re-raise the 44th...
