Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

It's not that bad. I watched this video many times. I think this camo blends well with the road.

In this video it looks more similar to UCP of US Army which has now been retired.

A good read. US marine Corps started using a similar (not same) pattern in 2001. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_Corps_Combat_Utility_Uniform

Are you sure similar pattern is not being used by western countries and the new pattern is unique to India?

Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

They should have changed it to something like that 10 years ago. When CRPF changed its camo. Now choosing this over MTP doesn't makes sense. Indian Army has done 2 step forward and 1 step backwards thing. BTW.. I doubt that this and the one which is being displayed by IA jawans as new camo are...

The MTP based camo could have been a worthy successor to the old French styled camo. I had seen a pic last year of joint INDO US exercise where there MTP was so effective that an US operator besides Indian soldier was nearly invisible. But just like AK 203 we chose the digitised LTTE camo.

Instead of well tested MTP camo we are going for this cheap untested new camo. I A sure knows how to ruin good stuff.

The new camo being suggested reminds me of briefcase covers made of cloth we used to have in early 90's.

After a year from displaying MTP camo, it doesn't makes sense. Has there been any confirmation from army or other govt agency about the digitised LTTE pattern being the final one?

Carefully observe the flag on the helmets. They are not IA troops. They must have exchanged gears.. A common practice in exercises.

The new camo which was under testing was based on MTP and was even showcased in front of public. The C3 and C4 designated patterns were being tested. It's highly likely that's the only patterns and not some digitized pattern.

There was a pic of joint Indo US exercise where in most of people missed US troops in the pic despite the fact that they were just adjacent to Indian troops. Does anyone has idea which camo pattern was that? And how much different this camo is from the one which is being used by US troops? Hope...
