Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

There are way better camo patterns out there for the terrain of J&K than woodland. Even MTP will be able to fit in way better on Kashmiri terrain than Porki ’s previous woodland. The base color palette of MTP was licenced from the base multicam which was designed in mind to give the user partial...

the one problem with picking UCP based uniform is that other than Airbases or highly urbanized cities the Airforce personnel will stick out like sore thumb.

Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

One of Indian Armed Forces biggest problems is uniformity and standardization among the branches. Good on the Airforce to finally stop using the Army‘s patterns. identify who is from which branch will be much easier now.

Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

In India one Camo pattern is used by multiple forces without any control. they copy from each other for example the old Army CCE camo pattern is used by the Airforce and even by some local and state police units. The MARCOS uses the Indian copy of American UCP and I believe Garuds are the...

Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

I think this might not be a BSF flecktarn it looks more like a Indian SURPAT with little more dark colors. you can can also see alot of pixelation on the Camo pattern indicating it’s a Digital pattern.

Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

Flecktarn is a excellent camouflage and the flecktarn pattern used by the BSF covers majority of the terrain they operate in better than the old one. They introduced this flecktarn pattern back in the 2007 but never adopted it completely. I still don’t understand why BSF like many other Indian...

Looks excellent and much better than the previous uniform. Only thing remaining are the chest ranks and subdued patches and badges that match the uniform. I hope Army makes changes to those as well.

Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

You are not wrong my mistake. It is hard to keep track of what Camo pattern the different units are wearing because it’s all mixed up everywhere there is no uniformity among the units and forces itself. In the top picture you can see they are using both MARPAT and SURPAT together instead of...

Camouflages and Uniforms of the Indian Armed Forces, The Past, Present and Future

UCP-Delta a variant of the original UCP.Just by adding one extra color palette to the original UCP colors. It made the camo pattern much better at camouflaging it’s user. This was tested as last ditch effort to save UCP but that didn’t happen as the US Army officially removed UCP from frontline...
