The good thing with S-80 is that there is a lot of room for further improvement and will keep it cutting edge for atleast 20 years. The thing is that every Sub has some Pros and Cons . It will be a tough choice to make.

Yes..this might be the case...Atleast Now They will be able to absorb Tech offered for AIP.. I doubt Sweden will offer something without receiving RFP.. MERLIN is still a paper Sub..Not much scope from russians on further development on AIP..This leaves only Germany and U-214 as option..

If we select LADA , I am sure we can get more no. of subs with top notch Russian Tech in the allotted budget. Even then U-214 is my favorite.

If the condition in pakistan prevails for another 2-3 years, they will have no option but to go for chinese subs..So, we dont have to worry about any more stealth subs in our backyard. About the MERLIN class subs - I think it is still a paper sub. Its not built yet..However i welcome any source...

Even U-214 will be one hell of a sub considering the price they will get for each sub. We should keep in the mind that same submarine when purchased in baseline model costs fraction of what it will cost if it is loaded with all the systems. (example Purchase of scorpene by brazil )... P-75A...

LADA is supposed to be quietest submarine in the world. however i would like U boats to win for next line of subs..However 5 LADAs on top of these will be very good..
