Because su30mki is dual engine jets. So the chances of crashes are minimised. Yet we all read horrors stories about engine troubles with mki which are sorted recently with massive investment. J10 is single engine. Any trouble means direct crash.

Because j10 is mainstay of chinese airforce and it's a hanger queen. The single al31 requires tremendous maintenance and lots of j10 crashed . If chinese exported it everyone will be aware of these issues showing weakness of chinese air force. Hence it's not exported but jf17 is.

Porks couldn't have afforded it in any meaningful numbers. Hence MiG-21 iteration jf17 was chosen. Porks can't even by enough jf17 to replace all mirage 3-5 in service even now.

Price is quite steep at 50million usd . Even su35 costs somewhere around 65-70 million usd. Mig 35might be even cheaper.

I don't know much about Turkish pod but it's no comparison to lightning pod. That's the best in business we rejected thales pod for rafale and chose lightning that's how good they are. Our indegenious pod is a work in progress . Not much info with me may be ask @porky_kicker
