Imfact, the range of k4 will be Much higher than the range of 3500. It is for the payload of almost 2000 kg. It can travel much longer with lesser payload.

Actually we should plan subs in that way that we maintain our fleet. Suppose , life cycle of sub is 30 years that we must build one every year to maintain the fleet once the full fleet is build.

Right. Hull was constructed at L & T and sent to Vizag for integration. It was covered with cloths and tank was written on it. Let me tell you a secrete. One Russian designed conventional sub is being constructed at L & T. My friends were in the construction of INS Arihant.

Arihant was build by L & T and they can make it once again.

I am eagerly awaiting for Aridaman with 125 MW reactor and power to to weight ratio almost equivalent to Akula. With k4 and k15 in number, it will really be a killer.
