  1. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

Baba if we had simply asked any of these Pvt players to provide 70000 rifles they would have given us a proper AR 15 at much lesser price.. and Ak too. But they won't jump unless assured a time frame and assurance for order. DI rifles doesn't matter how good they are will face issues in real...
  2. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

OFB had an order in Feb to supply NATO 5.56 ammunition. Infact they are supplying the same to American civilian market too and had repeat orders. I think there 5.56 NATO ammunition supply line is streamlined well now. Johnny Baba you may be right and that issue is mainly caused due to high...
  3. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

You could have build your own prototype by now. Anyway you are an inspiration brother. We will get them replace before next 30 years fir sure.
  4. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

Chill guys even a decent AK -203 will do the job and we will definitely get them and produce them here. Carbine is the only area to be concern where a compact AR15 derivative was needed even there we can do with Ak derivative . Then we have Carmel etc from IWI SSS .... All is well.
  5. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

We have all seen that video which was posted here long back . Again his position and handling was poor too. Problem of scope ?
  6. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

We were all looking up for some news may be good news and got this... You know what we need to gang up and start pinpoint how stupid these decision makers are... At top. Look at all the defense deal we have done during Modi time , all of them are mere tokenism and big talks but lie flat at...
  7. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

Middlemen were involved Just google one was caught along with his wife in 2010-11 around i guess. Bringing DI version despite knowing the terrain and ammo issue we have, was dubious decision from the start up. This L1 tender thing need to be reconsidered. I know some members said that modern...
  8. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

No one's blaming it's just their ammo isn't compatible we knew that before hand.
  9. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

There is lot more than what he said... And don't go by what he says... There is definitely an issue if that's the reason mentioned otherwise price would have been mentioned as sole reason. We have never shied from saying that.
  10. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

Their was no loss but margin were less and yes they did quoted higher price from before because price won't be same after 2-3 years.
  11. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

Read line second flaw using locally made round which was meant for LMG. I have mentioned the same before. Obviously recoil will be higher apart from other issues that will emerge that include higher price from before asked by Sig.
  12. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

I am talking abt rifles not round... And not INSAS but AKs and AR 15 based rifle. Once we have a production line for them we can have them in different cal based on requirement. Also the 7.62 NATO round that we use for LMG if we are going to use the same bullet it will provide more recoil...
  13. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

Not bad at all .. provided we have another production line for 5.56 /7.62 NATO round or an intermediate round. Aks will work fine in India in any condition once the production starts we can have it in different cal too. But a AR production line is essential too.
  14. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

We can but there is no need ... Yes Sig provides flip up iron sights but weren't part of original deal and were paid separately for that I guess. So the total cost turn out to be 1115 dollars .... Caracal was definitely offering us a much better deal.
  15. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

Chill Dude I have merely mentioned it is due to vertical grip that he looks uncomfy that's it. US soldiers use M4 carbine with vertical grip in general. Rest I have only stated how the hiring is done in India. Take a nap nite.
  16. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

It's just that the rifle doesn't have vertical grip to hold it properly while aiming. Rest US soldiers are of different height too and Indian soldiers are chosen generally well built one except those from hilly areas who are generally short in height but strong in built.
  17. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

I know they only built a few of those. But can be done for IA. I am sure we will be going for repeat order of third batch of these if feedback from infantry is good.
  18. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

They must ask for 20 inch barrel version too.
  19. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

Expensive ? Caracal offered it dirt cheap in comparison to Ak 203
  20. Flying Dagger

Indian Army SIG Sauer 716 assault rifle.

It's the last line of your post which has most weight in this deal , the political nature.
