    Don't think so....remember stabilators are all moving surfaces unlike stabiliser-elevator type conventional configuration.....also by that logic if rcs spike due to canard deflection was a real concern then mwf also wouldn't have canards....

    These tests have many reasons....even the attachment of these GaN modules itself is a problem for maintaining proper thermal conductivity...so a lot of parameters to test for the technology itself....before going into a proper radar design with it.... Remember,we are only working on GaN...

    Well what they tested was actually GaN trm module attatched to PS-05/A Mk 4 mechanically scanned radar..... As of now this radar is not planned to be integrated to any gripen models.... There is no GaN radar as such yet...i would rather say it was a test of the GaN trm module.

    Having GaN or GaN based TRM is one thing and having a GaN based Aesa radar is another....there are a lot of other hurdles to tackle before getting there....i wouldn't expect a GaN based Aesa radar for any of our fighters any time soon....

    Actually it was TEDBF that was cleared, that too by ADA, for development......based on the operational requirements laid out by navy to MoD......
