Geez, have a little faith. We are talking about people who have spent decades out there in the field and in the war rooms. I think its a little to convenient to judge them from behind a keyboard.

I know 1st and 9th Para SF guys are deployed in Kashmir, but 10nth Para SF ? Are they not deployed in Rajasthan area due to their specialisation in desert warfare ? Good to see even Lt. Col being directly involved and participating in operations.

Let's wait and see who gets the awards this republic day. Pretty sure, if there was such a mission carried out, we will see names from PARA SF, getting recognised. Especially Team leaders....

SSG has lost its sheen recently, especially after the late 90s. First blow came in Kargil, when their own army abandoned the creme de la creme of the SSG on our side of the LoC, where they were slaughtered. Next one came after the Siege of lal Masjid, which not only killed many of their best...

BTW, the last batch of 6 kababs which got 72d in Anantanag Bijebehara was spec ops work. All six were killed within minutes. They never saw it coming....

Personally, I have felt that we always had the equipment necessary but kept it away from prying eyes. Operations in Kashmir is closer a real time training experience. I doubt we really need MARCOS and NSG in Kashmir, RR is more than enough. These units are deployed so that they can gain...
