A sneak peak of new 2S35 "Koalitsia-SV" self propelled howitzer which is said to be based on "Armata" heavy tracked modular platform. And here are photos of 2S35 model, you can see some similarities on the real thing and models front hull.

No, and also will not be presented for general public, only closed static presentation for VIP's.

Well from all avaiable photos it seems so, but yes, decisive would be a photo of tank fielded in one of units.

Still it seems that turret ammo racks are not isolated and are not pressurized ammo bins either. Hull ammo racks looks like pressurized ammo bins tough.

This is photo from factory, it actually shows same design of turret ammunition storage as seen on DEFEXPO 2012 photos. It seems that pressurized might be only ammunition storage in hull, while turret ammunition storage is not only not isolated, but also not pressurized.

Ok, but how certain is that, this specific vehicle was a prototype? Do we have any pictures from active unit of Arjun MBT interior? This would clear any doubts. BTW, why pressurized containers? This also have no sence when You put blow off panel over ammunition magazine. Pressurized container...

Yeah, You are right. BTW any news in India about work on Arjun assault bridge version? There were informations that brigde will be designed in Poland, and Arjun hull specification might be send to Poland, or maybe our specialists will visit India to gather needed informations. How this looks...

But what with Army tests (state tests?)? IMHO besides manufacturer/designers tests, there also should be performed very difficult Army/State tests. Unless it was mainly political decision. And what about T-90MS? India officials had opportunity to see vehicle, talk with it's design team...

    T-14 Armata

But did they done any tests? Tests with crew mockups and tank with full ammo and fuel loadout should be hit in ammunition compartments to see how fast ammo will start to cook off and how bad it will be both for crew and tank. With such design even that blow off panel on turret top will not...

Found in DEFEXPO 2012 thread... this is Arjun turret ammuniton storage behind loader station and... my god, they claim that this is safe? It is not even isolated from crew compartment by blast doors or something like that. Similiar ammunition racks can be found on NATO 1st and 2nd generation...

About modification. I read about only one modification made for Kuwaiti M1A2's, these are... additional mud guards mounted to hull rear. :P Muslim nations M1's actually do not have any modifications for hot climate. M1A1's crews do not have dedicated A/C units but NBC system besides protecting...

L-3 Communications Combat Propulsion Systems AVCR-1790 Diesel engine, it is from the same series as used for example in M60 tanks series, but this time, 1500HP avaiable. Possible replacement for AGT-1500C Gas Turbine engine... and can be used also in older tanks, like M60 series.

Hmmm, impressive I must say... nothing strange now that US Army and GDLS want also Diehl tracks for M1. However as Hunnicutt noted in his book, Diehl tracks need new sprockets and wheels, at least model tested back then... on the other hand currently M1's also do not use old T158 track but a...

Ok we should back to tanks. As it might be interesting for some people, small comparrision of fuel tanks number, placement and fuel quantity taken by tank. M1/M1A1/M1A2 - 6 fuel tanks (2 fuel tanks under front armor, completely isolated from crew, serving as additional armor, 2 fuel tanks...

According to Richard Hunnicutt book. T156 track have 700-800 miles/1 287,4752km service life. T158 track have a service life of 2000 miles/3 218,688km and is same as Diehl 570 track. As for engine replacement, it seems to not be a problem with engine but with ARV. Leopard/Leopard 2 based...

And he is not very wrong here. Most of PLA units are simple light infantry, not armor-mechanized forces, there is not much of modern tanks and IFV's in PLA, most of them are outdated T-55 clones for example. But as I said, most are simple light infantry units. I'am not talking about veterans...

No, I do not ignore drawbacks of M1, there are some, but contrary to some people I rather want to discuss about reality, not some rumors. I said I was talking with man that served on the M1, he said that only problem with the engine is it's fuel comsumption, and to some point with temperature...

... Jarek, You know that You should provide a source. Nowhere I seen a proof that replacing AGT-1500C takes 60 minutes! Tracks lifetime You provides is also wrong. In Richard Hunnicutt book it was written clearly that FMC T-158 track have the same lifetime as Diehl track used on Leopard 2...
