Again,you go wrong there.UK has the technology to launch satellites on it's own but since they are a part of ESA,they use ESA's rockets.

Both are equally complex.The difference is that cryogenic engine is mostly used as an upper stage engine where as semi cryogenic engine is mostly used for core stage. The NASA SLS will be using the RS 25 cryogenic engine as a core stage.It's currently the most advanced engine in the world.

ISRO's launching business was never low cost to begin with.I have mentioned this before in an earlier post. Secondly this kind of launch has only limited capability and certainly cannot be used for all kinds of space applications.Vertical rockets are here to stay for a long time
