USA and UK have stolen technology from France and other countries in the past Pakistan stole nuclear technology from USA it’s difficult but not impossible the only thing required is a strong political will

They keep inspecting their engines and how are our scientists going to copy the alloy which has been used to make the engine it’s very difficult thing takes decades to master Thought it’s possible to steal the technology through espionage but that will impact India US relations

It’s not easy China has spent billions of dollars in copying engine technology and still they don’t have reliable engines Iran is also trying to copy American technology with little to no success

But USA is sugar daddy of Pakistan

USA stopped supplying us engines after 1998 nuclear tests USA is not Russia it’s highly unpredictable country and rising India is also seen as a threat to American hegemony over the world

India should buy engines and spares in advance to last for next 10 years atleast maybe we will come with our indigenous engines in next 10 years

USA won’t allow us to use Tejas against Pakistan if we do they will stop supplying engines and spares Tejas will mostly be used against China

What about CAATSA ? What if USA stops supplying us GE engines?

But MMRCA will take atleast 5 years for negotiation and extra 3-4 years before the first aircraft is delivered to IAF by that time both Tejas MK2 and ORCA/TEDBF will be flying

That’s why I say MMRCA is most likely to get cancelled because if Tejas MK2 takes first flight by 2023 then why do we even need Aircrafts like F16 or Gripen, Tejas Mk2 will be far better

But all the modern aircrafts have less external switches and bigger touchscreen display

F35 cockpit is slightly superior to MWF/Tejas Mk2 The LCD display in F35 cockpit is slightly curved and resolution is also better or both are same?

The ELTA 2052 used in LCA Tejas is also an AESA Radar and the radar of Su30mki after super sukhoi upgrade program will most probably be an AESA Radar the indigenous UTTAM AESA Radars are also getting ready the radar of jaguars are also AESA after DARIN 3 upgrade...

Yeah I agree Gripen is a logistical nightmare for india in particular but it’s a good Aircraft can integrate meteor the electronics on this aircraft is really good btw we don’t need Gripens we have already bought Rafales and rest of the requirements will be fulfilled by MWF or AMCA

Then why not Gripen E (though it’s much more expensive than F16) Or Wait for Tejas MWF

F21 are cheap but inferior quality jets
