They are only 63... & 47 Mirages. Will be covered by the MWF & AMCA orders, overlapping with 173 LCAs. Post 2030 further order expansion on AMCA Mk2 will extend it.

Edited.. AMCA Mk2 is expected to be borderline heavy class, 25-30 ton against TEDBF & AMCA Mk1's 20+ ton MTOW (judging from the engine requirement & comparing with J-15/16).

We're working on a 130-140 kN range/class engine only with Safran... Timelines & details are murky rn, but we've made 1000 order commitment. https://theigmp.org/indo-french-130-kn-engine-india-to-give-1000-engine-deal-commitment-safran-and-gtre-to-co-develop-a-110-kn-class-engine-for-amca/?amp=1

Because no matter how much we did I deny, it's a Rafale copy... Initially it look to be different but the rough house design being well established the further improvements will always make it look more like Rafale. It's a souped-up enlarged Rafale with much more folding-wings, (much) more...

He's probably right... I remember the 1st MWF wind-tunnel model being clearly a forerunner of the painted scale model at display at same event (which had lots of alterations & modifications).

Where is that pic of mine?.. Just find & show him. 😁 Anyways TEDBF is 100% designed by taking Rafale as initial point & superimposing it in NLCA Mark2concept. That keeps it unique, while being predictably tried-n-tested at the same time.

Yes the edge alignment is necessary for stealth, unlike in J-20. KF-X actually had a good stealthy canarded version, before the project imploded... KFX-201 If well aligned then they produce no more drag or radarwave reflection than normal tailplanes do. Now guys, do keep in mind that, the...

I don't know why people keep saying that!.. How can they possibly know? There are models like Kfir that have overlapping canards, even Rafale canards are over its wing's LERX. This should vary depending on the design & airflow around it.

Watch both the videos to learn about the Soviet doctrine 👌 of using naval jets for only A2A ops to protect the warship flotilla. Essentially, Indian Navy is now trying to deviate from this without ditching two of our carriers & switch to using the naval air arm into land attack or anti-ship...

No. Maybe marginally lower RCS but definitely would match maneuverability. Plus canards can induce nose pitch-up to help takeoff by getting higher alpha, thus generateing more lift... And given the original issue that literally no present naval aircraft can take off skyjumps with anti-ship...

The layout is definitely Rafale inspired, no doubt... But other than that canard-intakes area, not much really is similar about the fuselage shaping. And given the fact that they explicitly mentioned the requirement of squeezing out every last kilonewton of thrust possible from those engines...
