    J20 Stealth Fighter

Points to differ- 1) Germany and japan, just like every other country in europe(except russia) were starved of resources(manpower, material), which is not the case for China. 2)Both of those countries tried to take over everything, being selective could've got them success, and it seems to be...

    J20 Stealth Fighter

Its exciting to think it carries close to 20 tons of fuel. That puts it squarely into the category of strikers like F-111, although i'm not sure if it can carry any considerable air to ground load in this configuration.

I guess i wasnt too off.. That means 1900 kgs of fuel or 2200 kgs with tank weight + adapter ( assuming weights from 600 gal tank from US). Thats almost 9 tons of payload if they are infact full.

    J20 Stealth Fighter

Here you can see J20 carrying 4 x 450-600gal EFT (eyeballing), which is a 6-8 ton payload, so i dont think it has a lot of weight/payload restrictions. The fact we were only shown internal bay layout as 4 Mraam +2 Sraam may have to do with intending to project a perception of it being just a...

    J20 Stealth Fighter

Here's the concept that was put up by Northrop grumman to replace F14 tomcat with a stealth fighter. The NATF-23 was a modified F23a which had canards, so i'm not sure if canards trade all that much of stealth characteristic to be unviable for a LO aircraft. Moreover, a lot of designs...

    J20 Stealth Fighter

As an aircraft, it might or not be less capable in kinematic/electronic performance as compared to the Su57, but as a program of record, J-20 still remains the most successful stealth fighter program outside of the US with considerable more fund injection and future growth potential than any...

    J20 Stealth Fighter

Complete thrust envelope is required for complete FOC including strike missions. As of now, J20 is probably limited to A2 assaults and therefore i wouldn't mind the low performing engines WS10A, since they do produce about 14t each and mtow woupdn't be over 30t owing to the limited armament...

Thats what Mr. Nehru had thought. Economic activities for China will be certain to collapse if india takes PoK. That will be the initiative for China to jump into the fight, to keep this route open. It doesn't need to outright perform manuevers against IA, even logistics help will be enough for...

    J20 Stealth Fighter

That's going to be hard to mount. It'll probably become the cause that'll make India face a two front war for the first time.

Wouldn't it be invasion/annexation ( as opposed to unification) if you consider Taiwan as 'others'? The query of unification isn't as much about sovereignity but about vulnerability to political capacity. The main question China needs to answer itself is what price is it ready to pay for...

    J20 Stealth Fighter

66 F-16V is certainly a step in the right direction. Taiwan needs to significantly enhance its asymetric capabilities against mainland. Its quite obvious Taiwan can't win a long war of attrition. So it should procure weapons that prevent a sudden decapitating strike from mainland and have enough...

    J20 Stealth Fighter

Lol, that would be a bit counter intuitive, don't you think? I don't understand why people are so cross about China copying other country's tech, the US did it in the cold war era, so did the USSR.. Building a military isn't a game with set rules, its a survival scenario. It doesn't matter how...
