If you see the same lead time of F35, IOC may takes time. Anf the russian bird is also a very ambitious program, ie with some bad surprises in the developpment.

Always the same mistake ! The F35 price is for plane only (without engine, support, base accomodation....) The 8.7 billions includes support for 5 or 10 years, 2 bases accomodation, 2 billions to fullfill special indian need (new weapons, new targeting pod, new helmet...). AS ALREADY SAID...
