Where was this specified? By DGMO? cause I remember Lt Gen DS Hooda in an interview had said that this scale of strike had not been carried out earlier and he also mentioned we went in fairly deep. Surprising if fairly deep means 1-3km.

But Lt gen Hooda had said the deepest strike was somewhere around 8-10km, I may be wrong on the distance.

The use of SF was suggested by Northern Army Commander or Army HQ? If NAC took the decision, wouldn't he have consulted other generals and SF officers?

We don't have enough. Well that's what Hellfire said when I asked him. He added further that SF use it in CI/CT ops, but not as a routine. Further, why we don't have enough or if we have, why don't we use it, these are questions which Special Forces men or MOD people can answer.
