no, payload is on the nose ,the second part.. on belly u will have scramjet and at the end i think a rocket engine (semicryo) i hope,, RLV- TD at present is 6 m but the final version will be 16 m.. it may have a solid booster but doest that make it a Three stage?? look at the older page on this...

i think the winged part will have semi cryogenic engine and scramjet both .. scramjet will push the RLV to the upper thin layer of the atmosphere.. from there the semicryogenic engines will fire producing just enough thrust that the vehicles escapes atmosphere.. or the semicryogenic engine...

it will be LEO coz RLV is desgined for smaller payloads..ISRO want to increase the freq in low earth orbit.. good for future Indian space station mission. and it is said satellite in future will be smaller and efficinet . this shift in space satellite manufacturing came after chinese destroyed...

thats way too much for a project that has just begun..you cant do all this in one experiment.. all this will happen in series as we have limited budget and resource.. only way to increase the devlopment is to carry all related experiment simultaneously,which wil require much greater logistics...

ya i know about their X series mission,the craft was unstable , i think they have abandoned it and will us the technology in developing hypersonic missiles. X-51 looke like to me a hypersonic missiles thats not a space craft. plus the virgin space craft was also a failure.. RLV will take 15 yrs...
