Initially they were planning to integrate Astra directly to mk1a as all mk1 will eventually be converted to mk1a. But now it seems mk1 itself might get it. It was never about radar capability but about double effort.

Current lca radar is a hybrid of Israel drdo tech. I don't know what correct platform are you talking about. If it's about Astra and lca then lca mk1 itself is capable of integrating Astra.

Astra is being integrated to current Tejas. Lca radar even now is more than capable to guide missiles 100+ km away.

We may have Astra mk2 ready by the time Mika ng comes in. Also mica ng may only work with rafale and mirage. So again limited numbers only for mica/ mica ng.

Mica only works with mirage and rafale. And has less range so will remain limited in numbers. Astra plus newer variants of r77 will come in numbers . And derby ER will be bought in large numbers untill Astra mk2 comes along.

Ground trials with Tejas have been going on for a long time with lsp. Lca will get it before mig29.
