    Yes but natural gas, though it has lesser emissions is still a fossil fuel. And this pipeline is a gas pipeline. I do not think TAPI or India-Iran pipeline has anything to do with climate change deal.

    I don't get it. How? Gas pipeline through Iran to India is being discussed since years. Well before the climate change negotiations were even considered.

    I think India had made it pretty clear a few months back that developed countries cannot hamper our growth by blindly instructing us to reduce emissions. We need these industries to get developed.

    As per the articles I've read last week, they mention that developed countries will give financial support to the scale of only a few billions dollars a year to developing countries. I.e. 1 or 2 billion dollars. That is nothing to halt and reduce the emissions for huge countries like India...
