What about lca sp 2 ? Is there any news about it and in which stage it is in now ? Finally has any body any idea about refueling probe for tejas ,will sp 2 come with refueling probe ?

Ge 414 is more technologically advance and reliable than RD 93 . apart from that RD 93 has a problem of mid air failure which may ground the already delayed tejas project . so ADE planned to play safe with reliable ge engine which according to me is a good choice even though it costlier than RD 93

Till now total capital invested in f 35 has crossed 1 trillion dollar mark.so 2.5 b USD is very inferior to that .apart from that the unit cost of tejas 30 is million USD which is half the cost of Sweden gripen fighter jet.

Recently news came about exporting LCA to the nation (who will buy 5th gen fighter jet ) in the lead in trainer category .LCA which is 4.5 gen fighter can be consider as 5+ gen trainer aircraft. In 2012 Germany showed interest in buying tejas in lead in trainer category. Apart from this india...

Re: ADA LCA Tejas Mark-II Ya in some shorts I do agree with u.rather than these issues, lack of determination of GTRE in completing kaveri project is another reason.

To be very honest,not merging kaveri engine with LCA is a big confusion and mistry.in one hand DRDO is claiming dry thrust of kaveri is 53kn which is enough for lca but in other hand they don't equips it with tejas.

Re: ADA LCA Tejas Mark-II If the dry thrust and wet thrust of kaveri is 50-54(depending on env.temp.of operating area) and 81 respectively,then why Ade not taking any attempt to make a lrger version of tejas with two engine to make it comparable to the Rafale standard .it would also sort out...

.guys I come to know that hal had already fitted refueling probe to one of its tejas LSP (most probably LSP 8).does any body have any additional info about this????
