Saving the ship - in any form - is better than it being scrapped. Just curious, isn't a one time beaching a viable exercise? All you need to do is to charge a ticket and paint it once in say 5 years. Surely less work than keeping it floating forever?

Thank you for sharing this. I am so pleased that the construction of this ship is used as a mascot by Skill India. We need to make machining, welding and other trade jobs as desirable as well... it is small touches like this which sets this Govt apart from previous admins.

Vikrant is being constructed in open dry dock. This one seems to be covered... also to my untrained eyes this ship seems bigger than Vikrant.
