Re: latest update:DRDO's Nag missile fails in user trials What is your point ? You expect IA should now use Namica during rains ? It failed FYI, stop sticking up to DRDO for everything Saya.

    Nag anti-tank Missile

While the infrared seekers of the Javelin and the Spike can be jammed, the Nag's optical guidance system makes it virtually jam-proof. The indigenous development of an imaging seeker, a highly complex and closely guarded technology, is the Nag's greatest triumph. Broadsword: Army opts for...

    Nag anti-tank Missile

What i said has nothing to do with Namica or Nag. I am just saying we don't bash DRDO as much as we bash IA. Whenever IA issues some RFI we go on ranting about army being corrupt and trying to kill indigenous products. I dont see such reactions whenever DRDO delays some projects. I have no...

Probably because they must have felt the need of extra panoramic sight is very much necessary. They ll induct once the changes have been done. IA could blindly reject this product instead they have asked for some changes. They failed to ask this earlier so i agree its army's fault but we ll...

Well both have their own advantages. I am quite amazed why IA have not asked for any wheeled carrier until now. One major advantage is wheeled is more silent than tracked. We just bought lot of man portable anti tank missiles and close to acquiring spike or javelin. We ll equip out BMPs with...

    Nag anti-tank Missile

Depends on operational requirments of IA. If they feel they can manage both variants without any major logistical nightmare means they ll select both variants. Whats the need of inducting them into armored corps if there is no urgent need ? No idea Nitesh. They better have some good reasons.

    Nag anti-tank Missile

Two systems would be made — one by Bharath Electronics Limited (BEL) and the other by Larsen & Toubro. This is a very good news. Hope they make one as tracked and another as wheeled so that IA can induct some from both variants and we ll know how good a carrier from BEL compared to L&T made...
