Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

We need a strict Boss heading RMO to bring defence acquisition in line and make all agencies work for the common goal. Unless that happens we will always be playing the game of jugaad. From armed forces to OFB and other PSU's we have chirkuts leading the charge. Don't expect much.

There is no confusion it is evolution of Tejas or it is What Tejas was meant to be... New name or not doesn't matter let the bird fly first.

Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

There was nothing new on offer that we don't know from building Al 31 f engines here. What we need is Crystal blade material science and other related key tech . If we are able to get one indo French engine in that case we can get a little more than that from USA or Russia and with time we will...

Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

There is nothing like all TOT but off course we will be in better position than before. We may even see Russia or USA parting away with some key technology to get the market share in India once this engine nears being operational.

Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

Technically a supercruise is when it can go supersonic without afterburner. Here it isn't doing that. It's like a bike run out of petrol and the owner has to take it to the nearest petrol pump . And while he is pushing it on the road someone says hey Bike that runs without any fuel. :)

Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

You asked me when the project was sanctioned and money was earmarked for it. I have clearly shared that with you. They have been working on it since then. Now if it makes you feel good you can revise your goal post as well as Tejas timeline too. So as per you mk2 has just started or will start...

Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

Remind me of students who complains on the day of exam that they had only one day to complete the syllabus . When they had an entire year to do so. When a project is sanctioned it means it is sanctioned . One can play around the dates if it soothes them . https://pib.gov.in › PrintRelease...

Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

F 35 can supercruise without after burner ? Not really not right now. They have an engine upgrade planned may be then. Agree with all the stuff but I think more than Radar it will be IRST and next gen missile which will change the game. Even meteor has NEZ of 60 -70 km so they need to evolve...

Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

The difference is none now. It's just that the approval is for Tejas mk2 . MWF is merely a designation for it as it has moved on to medium weight category from light combat aircraft

Why Tejas Mk2 (MWF) Will Be Important

Neither F 16 nor F 18 will come to India for airforce that's for sure. Only chance of F 18 is for IN that too because of the high cost of Rafale. Even then the chances are really slim unless its political in nature. Gripen NG isn't same as Tejas but have no chance at all here in IAF. The...
