Google SLAMRAAM and SPYDER. Yeah, it will be truck mounted, if deployed.

I had already explained this before. Simply because something came out of DRDO doesn't make it indigenous. Both MKI and T-90 are more indigenous than LCA and Arjun. What matters is what we can make at home because that's what we can really fight with. Nearly 100% of the MKI (except landing gear...

The BMD is being deployed as we speak. The CABS AESAs are a recent development. There are some foreign systems which are as you say, then there are some, like Swordfish, where we have ToT.

There is a pressing need to fund what is necessary and important as of today rather than work on something we don't really need. Are you of the opinion that we need a heavy bomber too? We don't need it, so why spend $20 Billion developing one? : D Air resistance. We have no issues with...

Yes, it is wrong. The 100Km range is achieved when the missile is fired at a great height and at high speed. From ground locations, the range is 15-30 Km at best. Requirements for ICBM is determined by our threat profile. Where is the enemy at greater than 5000 Km?

The export designation is FD-2000. It is a S-300 rip off, the older versions of SA-10 and early model SA-20. The FCR is an AESA which gives it high accuracy. No idea what missiles are available for export though. Also such SAMs are very very expensive.

PDV (300-400 Km range, 150 Km altitude) will have such a range. I think PAD has a 200 Km range (80 Km altitude). Even in S-400 the missile with a 400 Km range is the 40N6 which has an intercept altitude of 150-200 Km. It is a BMD missile. There are two other missiles in S-400, one has a 120 Km...

We have a requirement. The AAD will be modified into a SAM called Ashvin with a range of 150 Km. The range of IAF version of Barak-8 would be 70Km. It is classified as MRSAM. The Navy will also induct the extended range version of Barak-8 (120Km) on future ships. An Astra spinoff will...

    Indian Army MRSAM

DRDO isn't a failed organization in the strictest sense. They mostly fail to deliver in time because of their own ineptness and the armed forces tough requirements. It is very obvious the armed forces cannot go easy on the requirements and GoI cannot force them on the armed forces because...

WoW. 3000 SAMs would mean effective engagement of 1500 targets. This does not add AAD, PDV etc.
