Advantage of ERA in early phases of battle!
found some footage about the chechen war and at 6:28 you can see a rocket stuck inside the armor of a t72b..
T-72B hit by SPG9... ERA+hit on a thick point of the turret armor=no penetration.
vehicle is in good shape despite it is abviously disabled and damaged.
Lesson Learned: ERA on T-tanks are important ( Must Have ) other wise its up in air, The tank is clearly saved by ERAs and live for another day to fight....
Compare to M1 Abrams..

T-72/90 series are so vurnabale to ammo deflagration because it is not stored in isolated ammo magazines with blow-off panels
Compare to M1 Abrams..
tanks like Arjun, TK-90 (Type-90), K2 use similiar storage system.
