everybody forgot 'surabhi' and 'byomkesh bakshi'!
i believe such a list would invariably comprise of old shows mostly, and esp. with regards to Indian TV, as its best shows were made/aired in the beginning itself, during the time when TV had started gaining foothold in the middle-class households.

Anybody likes Dexter?.............

I was about to mention it, good show, the pace of story is little slow but the suspense makes up for it. loved all seasons.

surabhi was very good. byomkesh was good too, but Surag was much better.
never got hang of shaktiman (probably because i saw superman too much) though it was good serial.
one must also mention sanpoorna ramayan (by Ramanand sagar).

lucy lawless, an eye candy, but all the storyline went above my head.

ha ha, when i was posting, i wondered those were good time when you kicked you rshoes and watch TV shows, now its like Impossible to catchup with every episode of a show, the time you get free to watch TV someone will be watching the same night TV sops. wohi rona dhona draama

@nimo_cn - you don't have any favourite Chinese shows (may be you included 1-2 in your second list? don't know)? atleast two old ones from China were quite famous here about 2 decades back (damn it! it was so long ago?! time flies!), namely, 'the zu mountain saga' and 'the legend of the condor heroes'.
