I beg to differ on this. It's a fact that, some states have demanded for special privileges however, AFAIK, except J&K, no other states are demanding for an autonomy or want to move out of Indian Union.
true(not exactly except kashmir, ladakh and jammu want full merger with India).
But some NE states has also 370a,b,c like that. Where people from other states cannot settle or buy land there.

Technically Omar is not wrong. Till the time article 370 is in place India can never claim that kashmit is its intergral part. It's a diffrent issue we call it an abhin-ang where ever we go; however Nehru's politics has lead to this mess!

True ! However, technically we have all the strength to take back what was/is rightfully belongs/ed to us. It's because of those so called Morons who are ruling our country, it has become a humongous or impossible task.

How much Indian blood has been shed till now just for J&K ? and for what ?

Autonomy of action.

Freedom to determine one's own actions, behaviour without continuous Central control.

Take the issue of Food Security Bill of the UPA. It gives less than what Chhatisgarh or Tamilnadu gives.

for that,they require 2/3 majority,not half.
Which is the fundamental flaw in our politics.

2/3rds are to be sought from some of the most short-sighted, corrupt, anti-national, selfish and egomaniac politicians who have NOTHING in the interest of the country.

Congress will buy out entire parliament if need be to never pass the bill.

This is why parliamentary democracy has FAILED in India.

The real concerns of people are in direct democracy like Republican structure of US where people directly elect their leaders and the senate is not a bunch of buy-outs completely.

Indirectly, all state Govts are wanting autonomy.

That is why the regional parties are doing so well.

Horrid governance at the Centre is causing all to lose faith and the States are all on their own trip!
Because the centre is NOT strong. There should be one thing clear and that all states must work under a centralized working structure. Here we have one state like UP which is still stuck in 17th century while we have another like Goa or Gujarat which has reached the next level. We have someone from Manipur who has never seen things in his own state that exist in other states just 3 hours of flight, away from his own home town.

I mean are we a country or a zoo?

I am against giving autonomy to states and to be ruled by a strong decisive centre.

Kashmir doesn't want to move out; only sunni arab-wannabe-not-Indian Muslims want to join and clean Pakistan's shoes. The original kashmiris aka the Pandits, Buddhists and Sikhs are very happy to be Indians. This is not an islamic country where the whim of one set of identity-crisis struck people counts.

Let's not keep it that way.

As for special status, you are forgetting the Thekedaar of Secoolarism, Nitish Kumar who prostrated himself in front of Madam G for special status for Bihar. :D
