The Chess Olympiad got underway today in Turkey. Here is the link to the website

What caught my attention was the title of the event in Turkish

DUNYA from Duniya meaning world

SATRANC from shatranj which came from chaturanga from which chess comes from

OLIMPIYATI meaning Olympics.

Felt nice to see how the language is connected to us.
