^^ Her name changed to Captain Laxmi Sahgal after marriage. Her husband Prem Kumar Sahgal like her was a renowned freedom fighter. She was in contention for the President of India's post recently but lost to Pres. Kalam. Her daughter Subashini, is CPI(M) leader and also a part time actress, she is ex-wife of Muzzafar Ali. Her grandson is the famous director Shaad Ali. The family is settled in Kanpur.

Regards Singhji, According to the Wikipedia Capt. Laxmi Sahgal was honoured with Padma Bibhushan on 1998. She was the head of Rani Jhansi Regiment.

Oh gosh only women that i've seen in forces were sridevi in bollywood films. And no doubt big fan of her as well. Can't imagine myself being at this position. I think I will be too soft and delicate for this position. But I salute all those women who are in arm force.
