Will 'break' any Chinese construction on Indian territory, Rajnath warns

Home minister Rajnath Singh on Monday warned China against constructing roads in Indian territory while maintaining that New Delhi wants cordial ties with its neighbours.

Asked what if China continues to carry out construction of roads on Indian side, Singh said our forces will be left with no alternative but to "break" any such construction.

"China must end its practice of infiltrating Indian territory and construction of roads on our side. We want to maintain good relations with China and it must respect our sentiment," he said while addressing a public rally here.

Sending out a message of a stronger India emerging under the BJP regime, Singh said if China continues construction of roads on Indian side, there will be no alternative left with India but to "break" them as a last resort.

Continued incursions by Chinese troops into Indian side have led to high tension along the border. The matter of incursions came up when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping in New Delhi recently.

That will be a good step but then it should not be left to be mere rhetoric.

First build up army presence in the area and then break any Chinese construction, if you have to.

Back up your determination with force at your disposal.

Rajnath singh is not saying that Indians will do it, he is in fact supporting India's action. in recent stand off, the Indian soldiers have blown rail tracks and destroyed and stopped road constructions by Chinese in Indian territory china was pissed of but they couldn't do anything because these constructions were found in Indian territory.

why blow off road? we can use the road for our purpose. just place a blockade towards the LAC and continue using road that china built on our territory with there money.

Wouldn't it make sense to just let them build roads and then put up a bigass fence after the construction is complete?

Open invitation for war,that land mass has been left open for a reason .The day any side be it Chinese or India start fencing it,it will be minor skirmishes to destroy the fence completely that will escalate to war.
