BTW HQ 9 and aster have the same problem they are ballistic missile interceptors modified to do fleet defense
they are too big too expensive have a single pulse engine and only capital ships can carry them

yes they can down a scud or a b-1 bomber but such skills are rarely needed and burden the ships that carry it

That is why there is Aster-15 and Aster-30. The major difference is the size of the booster. Barak has even greater variation to complete the same range of missions. Either Aster are hardly ballistic when they have thrust vectors in both booster and interceptor dart making them the most maneuverable SAMs on the planet.

If you are talking about that Incident, The Barak system was on a Standby Mode for some time when the missile hit the top deck of the missile boat.

That isn't the captain... and those officers weren't even demoted. Any officer that incompetent would be drummed out of the service if it was really the case. :shocked:
