Of all the rich G20 nations, India has been labelled the worst place to be a woman. But how is this possible in a country that prides itself on being the world's largest democracy?

I am sick and tired of writing long replies saying that when India has its grave issues regarding women abses, it is neither unique nor as bad as portrayed.

We should counsel our kids..Its duty of their parents.I still remeber 45 mins speech given by my mother at age 15.
Simple and small step can prevent a large issue.

This is not enough ..Every mother should take this responsible. I have seen many cases where mothers try to protect their son even whole country knows he is culprit.Some reforms should be made in our law & order and pampering is need for every child but over pampering should be avoided.

Only then will men grow up to respect every woman they meet. And this thinking can only be changed by encouraging girls education and empowerment. When they are confident about themselves they will no longer treat their sons any different from their daughters. The beneficiaries will be the women of tomorrow the daughters of India who will make this society a better place when they take their rightful place in it. Supportive fathers, husbands, brothers and friends will play a crucial role in this process. So far we see that men with a powerful mother figure in their life are more respectful of women..... Correct me if i am wrong but i see it that way.

Yes you are correct.Yes even women has change.My sister wants study medicine in US.But my grandmother said NO.She said " we should not send girls very far from house , its a BAD OMEN...WTH????

My mother taught me two things.

1) Never ever get into a habits of nesha or nasha like smoking, drinking, etc etc.

2) Be respectful of women as one respect one's sister or mother.

for Ex: If any of my family/friends killed some xyz person I support them without any doubt,I mean advise them to hide evidence,escape jail term and so on. That is Police/court duty to prosecute or punish them.Don't be Gandi be common man

What a lame post ..If the person got killed is your Girl friend or sister / mom..how would you feel. I agree its by nature that is what to be changed.
