Good Friends,

I am in little confusion as I am going to buy a car for my wife this month.

I know we have many car enthusiast here at DFI so I thought I should ask you guys about your opinion.

Presently I am considering Hyundai Elentra 1.8 Elite A6 and Mazda3 2.0 GSX (Automatic Transmission).

My priority is to get the best rated car in terms of Safety, driving comfort, features and style. Fuel economy and resale value is least secondary.

Thanks in advance.

If you are in India, I would say Hyundai Elantra. If you are outside then Mazda.

This is because a lady must not travel very far to get the car serviced. If the car breaks down any guy can repair a Hyundai in India, not so with Mazda.

But I know very little about cars, so treat my opinion as worthless.

I'd give her one of the two cars you own and spend $25K on a 2008/09 Bimmer Z4i. Spend the extra 5 to spice her up a bit with new shoes and pipes.

Honda city?
Honda City is another good car I was thinking of but I am having Honda accord euro which is 2.0 L. I have driven City (1.5 L) and I felt like pressing the paddle more to get the same power as accord :) .

Civic comes with 1.8 and 2.0 L and the price range is quite good, I will try test driving it as well.

They all are above 30,000 (USD) I think (Sonata and CRV). I need sedan, no plan to buy SUV. BTW I am living in NZ. : )

Not asking you to buy, just to enjoy. I think it looks cool.

BTW, if you are in the US, I would definitely ask you to look at VW Jetta, Jetta Sportwagen, GTI, or Huyndai Elantra, Sonata.
