A lowly 2mbps.!!! I cannot believe we have the lowest mobile telephony rates in the world but one of the most expensive broadband.

I think something like 10 mbps for about Rs750-1000 unlimited would be amazing.

You don't need OFC for 54 Mbps. You can pass even 10 Gbps over copper wire. What OFC does is it chops down latencies, and makes it easy for the ISP to send upstream connection to a locality. It is still very much possible for the ISP to run his entire downstream infrastructure over copper.
