This from Dawn.... an interesting and unusual story, given the usual orientation of the Pakistani media.

What has the US done for Pakistan"

Osama bin Laden has been stolen, Raymond Davis exorcised, and the military's ego has been hurt once again by men "dressed like characters from Star Wars". "America is an unreliable ally," the ISI chief is said to have told the Pakistani parliament in a closed-door briefing.

Pakistan's ties with terrorists are strategic. Like al Qaeda, Pakistan refers to modern notions of national sovereignty and justice. Like Taliban, Pakistan is concerned less with the enemy and more with spies.

However, our ties with Washington are platonic. If reliability, trust and selflessness are the benchmarks, then the ISI's evaluation of US foreign policy towards Pakistan is essentially a moral critique.

"What has America done for Pakistan?" parliamentarians asked before calling for a review of ties with the US. Inherent in that question are assumptions that need to be questioned themselves. Why should America do anything for Pakistan? "¦

Ace009, please read the complete article. This is a very nice satirical article,which lists the life saving contributions US has made to Pakistan.
As per the article Pakistan recd. 1.4 billion Us$ in military aid, compared to today's inflated figures a mere 800 million aid suspended and the whole country is in turmoil. The article further lists the contributions in civil nuclear, agriculture and irrigation projects funded by the Americans and has compared to the attitude the country has towards it's biggest benefactor.

This is a wake article for the ungrateful nation and it's delusional leaders.

Sorry - my bad - I had been reading some old Dawn articles from the 1965 and 1971 wars - where they blamed India for attacking Pakistan and were name-calling our leaders. This came right after that ...
