I have never been to the Purana Qila festival, but this time around I will definitely make time for this wonderful festival of music.

This folk troupe has already done many world tours, not sure if they are regular at Purana Quila Festival.
This Friday they will be performing in Bangalore though.

The whole function at the Purana Qila has some wonderful artists and lasts for 3-4 days. With the old fort as a backdrop the setting is simply superb.

So @ani82v would you be attending their performance in Bangalore.

I'm a fan of Metallica. So last night I went browsing from Youtube for their old concerts when I came across a clip from their September 28, 1991 Moscow concert. The nostalgia for the Cold War era, Metallica (Enter the Sandman song in particular) and the 90's just came pouring in. It almost made me weep. Anyway, here it is -


Notice how wild (and waiving American flags!) those Russian youths are just a month after the collapse of the USSR. Fantastic.
