how dare they(US) want their agriculture market to also get a fair share on the world export stage...
They are justified in asking more exposure for their export market and India/China equally justified in looking after their domestic markets which may be hurt by this move.

An impulse buy of 50 additional long haul jets by an ailing state owned carrier to service a loss making India / US route. And all this around the same time congress was considering legislature that would threaten Indian firms.
That is peanuts for us, dont worry we will throw so more at you. To think that would equal something of a Chinese situation or would make you draw parallel to what might happen in the case of Doha talks, which affects our farmers. Doha talks will end on our terms.

I think you are thinking too much of US's influence on Indian economy. Indo-US trade is around ~$40 billion in 2010 and of which Indian exports stands at $21 Billion. Of this IT exports is only half the value as we also export textiles, gems, food and other products. So please don't over-estimate the power of US when it comes to India. We are the least affected when there was recession in 2008. You stop trade with us we don't suffer as much as you think.

The buying of 50 boeing long-haul jets is not because of some threatening from your legislature but as a quid-pro-quo to the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Have you ever followed the WTO issues to say something this vague? How dare subsidized american farmer earning massive profits not be allowed to compete with poor indian farmer who merely is struggling to live.

You intepret a legal transaction to buy 60 airplanes from Boeing as a 'gift'?
