We have training schools for High Altitude Warfare as well as Jungle Warfare which are among the best in the world. Isn't it high time we also had some sort of training school for Urban Warfare?
The current scenario across the world is shifting the battlefield to the urban areas where conventional military tactics and hardware take a beating. The experience of the Americans in Iraq more than explains that. For us too, future conventional wars may take place in the cities rather than in the open. In any case, our forces are experiencing that to some extent in Kashmir. This does dictate the need for having a proper dedicated facility to train the forces in this new kind of warfare. Any information on the same would be appreciated.
