Ancient tribe of Maya passed on a legend that tells of the 13 crystal sculls able to save the world from a terrible catastrophe.

Once in 1927 a British archeologist Mitchell-Hedges was able to confirm the Mayan legend through his own discovery: when the man was clearing debris from atop a ruined temple at the ancient Mayan city of Lubaantum his daughter found one such skull made out of pure quartz.

Later a few more of these mysterious artifacts came into possession of people in different parts of the world. Places where the human sized ancient crystal skulls have been found are generally various ruins and many are guarded by descendants of indigenous people throughout the world.

The skulls have mystical qualities: they can bring their owners into the state of hypnosis, cause people to hallucinate or have dreams about ancient Indians. Some say they can even make wishes come true.

According to the Crystal Links research a conservator and restorer Frank Dorland studying one of the skulls discovered that it had zygomatic arches acting as light pipes, using principles similar to modern optics, to channel light from the base of the skull to the eye sockets.


The eye sockets in turn were miniature concave lenses that also transferred light from a source below, into the upper cranium. Finally, in the interior of the skull was a ribbon prism and tiny light tunnels, by which objects held beneath the skull could be magnified and brightened. As a result, when placed upon a source of light, the skull acquired glowing eyes and appeared to be on fire.

Yet the origins and the manufacturing of the skulls remain inexplicable. World Mystery Research Center reports that several of ancient skulls have been brought to Hewlett-Packard, located in the San Francisco area. Hewlett- Packard, long known as a manufacturer of printers and computer systems, has one of the most extensive scientific and crystal research laboratories in the world.

The scientist working at HP, who had a chance to work with some of these ancient crystal skulls were hard pressed to explain how a primitive culture could have carved crystal into such precise shapes and especially against the natural axis of the crystal without the use of sophisticated tools!

Thus far, four types of ancient quartz skulls are known including clear quartz, amethyst (purple), rose quartz (pink) and smoky quartz (from grey to black). It may be that these magic gifts of the ancestors would assist humanity in surviving the doomsday of 2012, as was foretold by the enigmatic Maya civilization.

Well, actually the mystery of crystal skulls have already been debunked. These are not at all as claimed by many to be of ancient origin. These were most probably carved in the 19th century. This has been proved.

Nazca Lines

Nazca Lines are the most outstanding group of geoglyphs in the world. Etched in the surface of the desert pampa sand about 300 hundred figures made of straight lines, geometric shapes and pictures of animals and birds - and their patterns are only clearly visible from the air.




The high desert of Peru holds one of the most mystifying monuments of the known world—the massive-scale geoglyphs known as the Nasca Lines. Ranging from geometric patterns to "drawings" of different animals and stylized human-like forms. The ancient lines can only be truly taken in, their forms discerned, from high in the air, leaving generations mystified as to how these precise works could've been completed long before the documented invention of human flight. Are the lines signs left by an alien race? Landing strips for UFOs? Relics of a ancient people far more advanced—capable of human flight—then previously imagined?


Etched, as if by giants, onto the arid moonscape of Peru's southern desert lies one of man's greatest mysteries; the Nasca Lines. More than 15,000 geometric and animal-like patterns have been discovered criss-crossing the pampas like a vast puzzle. Who built them and what was their purpose? Ancient racetracks, landing strips for aliens, or perhaps a giant astronomical calendar? And are the Lines connected to the gruesome discovery of large cache's of severed human heads. Now, after decades of misunderstanding, modern archaeology may finally have the answer.

Excavations in the surrounding mountains are uncovering extraordinary clues about the people who made them and why. A long since vanished people, called the Nasca, flourished here between 200BC and 700AD. But the harsh environment led them to extreme measures in order to survive.

Archaeologist Christina Conlee recently made an extraordinary find: the skeleton of a young male, ceremonially buried but showing gruesome evidence of decapitation. In place of the missing human head, a ceramic "head jar" decorated with a striking image of a decapitated head with a tree sprouting from its skull.

Conlee wonders who this person was? Why was he beheaded and yet buried with honor. Was he a captive taken in battle, or could he have been a willing sacrifice? And did his decapitation have anything to do with the lines? The discovery of large caches of human heads adds grisly weight to Conlee's theories and helps unravel on of man's great mysteries.

An archelogist and a team of three or four people replicated these lines using only the materials available to the natives during the time these lines were created. But the method was very very interesting. He made a sort of hot air baloon using those materials. And he himself while floating in the baloon , directed his team mates to make a shape as large as the nazca lines. But this fact was astonishing that those natives could build hot air baloons using such materials. Although the baloon was pretty crude and unstable.

Nazca lines are dated back to 650AD.. Assuming if the lines can be drawn using above method, how did the people existed before 650 AD did it? and too with a perfect geometrical shape? Using a parachute/chopper/hot balloons???

There were always been two different group debate over any issues related to great catastrophe in earth? They used to be scientific people and religious/non-scientific guys.. But now the debate over 2012 happens between different group between scientific community itself..

If you have any links which proves that the skull's were carved in 19th century, please post it. would be helpful for us to study on this too. Whenever these kind of claims raises there'll be only two groups raise to suppress the claims either the government or the religious heads.. Both remains as a top powers for people as of now... Always they don't want to spread panic amongst the people as it would result in serious problems....

How did Mayan's learned number system with base as 20? How did the Mayan's learn to create these mind blowing calendars??

CALENDAR 1. IXIM TUN - 130 days. This is the calendar of the corn and nature and was created for agriculture. Two of theses cycles are one Tzolk'in cycle.

CALENDAR 2. MOM TUN - 180 days. A micro cycle of insects. This had a relationship with agriculture, as insects perform fertilization.

CALENDAR 3. TZOLK'IN - 260 days, also called Chol q'ij, A 20-week cycle of 13 days each.

CALENDAR 4. TUN - 360 days. Perfect harmony with the cycles of the planets, stars, and galaxies.

CALENDAR 5. TZ'OTZ TUN - 364 days. The bat cycle. 13 months of 28 days each.

CALENDAR 6. IK TUN - Moon calendar.

CALENDAR 7. HAAB' - 365 days . 18 Months of 20 days with a 5-day celebration cycle called Vayab. This is the most famous Mayan calendar and the most exact Mayan calendar. According to NASA it is .00000001 accurate to the atomic clock calendar. Within a 180,000 year cycle there is only a one day adjustment needed to keep this calendar accurate.

CALENDAR 8. KIEJEB - 400 days. Another prophetic calendar. 10 Mayan tribes still use this calendar today.

CALENDAR 9. MUCHUCHU MIL - the 52-year calendar, a Mayan century. A very important calendar that maps the zenith passage of the Pleiades over Meso America. This calendar synchs the Haab and the Tzolk'in. When this calendar ends, all the fires are put out and for 5 days there are no fires and all will fast. Then on 0 Pop, the Haab the fires are re-lit by Priests and Priestesses. This tradition still happens.

CALENDAR 10. CHOL TUN - 260 years. Work just like the Tzolk'in, but with years. A macrocosmic calendar.

CALENDAR 11. KU TUN - 520-year calendar, but this calendar cycle varies every 4 years. The 4 pillar calendar.

CALENDAR 12. TIKU TUN - Is divided into 2 well-known cycles. The first is Belejeb Bolon Tiku which is 9 x 52 cycles of darkness equaling 468 years. The second is OXALAJUJ TIKU - 13 of 52 cycles of the 13 heavens or 13 lights that equal 676 years.

CALENDAR 13. AJAU TUN - Cycles of 20 years that mark the prophecies for 20 years. Archaeologists know of this one.

CALENDAR 14. EKOMAL TUN - 520 years - Marks the feminine/masculine radiation from the Sun. It is a prophetic calendar and give clues about humanity to this point and in the future.

CALENDAR 15. OX LAJUJ BAKTUN- 5200 years. This is the long count calendar the archeologists know something about.

The last bolded calendar says all about the end of earth i.e. start of great catastrope in Earth. In sync with their predictions sceintific people predicts Gallactic realignment of solar system after which the orbit path of solar system will be changed.
