If there was no CIA backed Yeltsin there would have been no Russian rust filled hardware. Yeltsin did a damage of great proportion to Russia and its standing in the world. That is what Putin is trying to repair.
Can Obama ever dare to influence political set up in Ukraine if Yeltsin never existed and the power had changed smoothly from Gorbachev to Putin.
It was Russian blood which was spilled to turn back Hitler from Ukraine and Svastepol. Ukrainians at the behest of Americans have forgotten all that.
